Taming Spiders

Spiders can be tamed with rotten flesh. Drop the rotten flesh on to them when you are close, and it will tame them. Once tamed a spider can be punched to toggle between staying still and following you. (Following only works in Survival/Adventure mode.) Spiders will trap surrounding undead mobs and creepers in webs periodically .

Advancement

Get an advancement for taming a spider.

Install instructions

  1. Download the (.zip) file.
  2. When creating your Minecraft world click "Data Packs."
  3. Drag the (.zip ) file into the window.
  4. Ensure the datapack is enabled.
  5. Play on your world and tame spiders!
